MCAS Week
Over the weekend, please read Chs 14-16.
During MCAS week, we will primarily read in class when we have it.
Our goal is to finish the book for Friday. Whatever we don't read in class, you should read for HW.
For the MCAS, electronics must be turned off for the entire exam period, so you will not be allowed to listen to music when you are finished.
During the Long Composition, which I think is on Tues, you will NOT be allowed to read your own books in between sessions. On the other two days, you will be allowed to read your own books when you are finished and awaiting the next session.
Please email me any questions!
Have a good weekend!

BOI RLs (amended daily)
While we are studying "The Bastard of Istanbul," each student is required to respond a prompt given in class each day, using relevant quotations. In addition, each student should take notes on the discussion that ensues. The length of your BOI RL, which includes your response to the prompt and discussion notes, is determined by your curriculum level: C2: 1 page, C1: 1 page, H: 2 pages. If you are absent from class, you are responsible for writing a response to the prompt that meets the length requirement. Entries will be collected randomly or without notice, so please have all of them with you at all times.
BOI RL 1: What are your first thoughts on Zeliha, her situation, and her relationship with her family or her city? (gather 1-3 quotes as support)

BOI RL 3: Compare Grandma Shushan to your grandmother(s)? Or compare the Tchachmatkchian family to yours.
